Dear reader:

Foodservice News strives to be the first place you go for local industry information. Once again, we’re delivering on that goal. What you hold in your hands is the Foodservice News Minnesota Vendor Directory, the desk reference for restaurant operators and owners across the Twin Cities, greater Minnesota and surrounding states.

This directory contains listings of companies that truly service the industry, and can help you solve problems and attain goals. With more than 100 listings in 24 service categories, you can find what you need in a hurry—because we know your time is valuable. And, for your convenience, this directory is also published on the Foodservice News Web site, www.foodservicenews.net.

Also, if you belong to a company that should be in this directory, don’t beat your head against the wall too long for missing out. Call Foodservice News to get listed for the 2009 print directory, and for an immediate listing in the on-line directory.

And, as always, call us with any ideas and comments you have—about the magazine or the directory—that can help us improve our coverage of and service to the industry.

In 2007, Foodservice News hired ReadexResearch, a company specializing in mail and Web-based surveys for publishers, advertisers, agencies, association executives and corporate researchers, to conduct a reader survey for us. The results were, to say the least, pleasing and informative. Some highlights:

Foodservice News is engaging. On average, recipients said they’ve spent 25 minutes reading or looking through the publication when they receive it.

Over one-quarter (27 percent) of recipients save their copies of Foodservice News for reference, which provides multiple opportunities for exposure.

Articles and columns provide great motivation for readers, with 78 percent taking some form of action in the last 12 months after reading them.

Advertising in Foodservice News also provides great motivation—in the last 12 months, 52 percent of recipients have taken at least one action as a result of reading ads in Foodservice News.

Among six other industry publications listed in the survey, Foodservice News came out on top as the primary print publication source for receiving information about the restaurant and foodservice business.
